Cayuga County's Child Advocacy Center attains New York State's highest level!
The New York State Office of Children and Family Services has designated Cayuga County's Child Advocacy Center as a Tier I program. In order to become a Tier I center, our site was inspected by OCFS and our program was evaluated in 10 key areas:
1) Child-centered site
2) the use of a Multidisciplinary Team response to child abuse allegations
3) The capacity to implement sound admistrative policies and proceedures
4) Cultural Competency and Diversity
5) Forensic Interviews that are coordinated to avoid duplicative interviewing.
6) ability to offer specialized Medical Evaluations
7) ability to offer Mental Health Services to victims and non-offending family members
8) ability to offer Advocacy to victims and non-offending family members
9) Well organized review of all cases
10) Tracking of all cases from onset to closure
