The Child Advocacy Center of Cayuga County is dedicated to guiding children down the road to healing from the trauma of sexual and physical abuse. We have brought together members of our community, including public servants and private citizens to address these horrific crimes against children. We are steadfast in our commitment to assist victims and their families from disclosure right through to conviction of the offender. We believe that knowledge is power and we are committed to spreading awareness about sexual predators and prevention strategies to keep kids safe .We support and advocate for our children through outreach education programs.  

We believe that children are our best resource for a brighter future and we accept that child abuse is a grown-up problem.  Our approach to handling cases of child abuse is modeled after a nationally recognized “best practice”.  The Child Advocacy Center began over 20 years ago with a group of dedicated professionals that realized the need to work together on child abuse cases and to coordinate treatment and services.
