The Child Advocacy Center of Cayuga County is dedicated to guiding children down the road to healing from the trauma of sexual abuse. We have brought together public servants and private citizens to address these horrific crimes. We are steadfast in our commitment to assist victims and their families from their first disclosure through to conviction of the offender. We believe that knowledge is power and we are committed to spreading awareness about sexual predators and prevention strategies to keep kids safe.

We believe that children are our best resource for a brighter future and we accept that child abuse is a grown-up problem.  Our approach to handling cases of child abuse is modeled after a nationally recognized “best practice”.  The Child Advocacy Center began over 20 years ago with a group of dedicated professionals that realized the need to work together on child abuse cases and to coordinate treatment and services. Today we are pleased that our initiative is housed in a beautiful facility in Auburn. Come and take a look...

We are honored to share with you the artwork created by Southern Cayuga students (below). One of these posters will be used to produce our our next Child Advocacy poster. This project was funded by the United Way's Youth Allocation Grant. Thank you to art teachers Peter Bakija and Tim Amory! See "News" for more info on this project.
